Gold Medal for Ian Barker Garden ‘Reflection’

KHD supplied VersiJack for the Ian Barker garden at the 2016 Melbourne International Flower & Garden Show.

The garden was titled ‘Reflection’ and the design intent was a visual representation of a person’s memory of a garden that they had experienced in their childhood.

Detention Tank For Werribee Baptist Church

2 - IMG_2640KHD recently supplied a VersiTank 550 for use as a detention tank for the Werribee Baptist Church project.

Detention tanks are becoming commonplace on projects such as this, as councils are consistently applying water sensitive urban design principles to such projects.

Car parks, such as this at Werribee Baptist Church, were once vacant land where water could easily be absorbed into the ground.  When concrete or bitumen is laid the stormwater runoff needs to be managed. To slow the excess water flow into the existing infrastructure, detention tanks are necessary.

Elmich Receives Prestigious Singapore Architecture Award

2The Singapore Institute of Architects (SIA) has announced that Elmich will be the recipient of the prestigious Friend of Architecture Award for 2015. This award is given to organisations in the architectural industry in Singapore as a way of recognising them for their sustained relationship with the institute and their contribution to the architectural profession as a whole.

The award was presented to Elmich at the SIA 54th annual dinner held at the Resorts World Convention Centre in Singapore. The guest of honour at the dinner was Dr Maliki Osman, the Honourable Minister of State for National Development and Defence.

World’s Largest Green Wall – Institute of Technical Education Singapore

Our Elmich colleagues in Singapore have just completed the largest green wall installation in the world.

The ITE green wall project, standing at 35m tall and totaling 5,300 m2, is a showcase project of how the Elmich system can be engineered.

The Elmich green wall modules have transformed the walls, both internal and external, into facades of green vegetation, using UV-stabilised plastic green wall modules and stainless steel support brackets and pilasters. The Elmich system enabled an easy installation and will provide ongoing flexibility for the maintenance period.
