KHD supplied the Elmich 150mm VGM® Green Wall system for an inner city pool and landscaping project in Melbourne.

The pool surrounds feature elements of the building design as well as the extensive Elmich KHD Green Wall.

68 Green Wall modules in columns were grown prior to the installation and inserted in between the screens.

The Green Wall is comprised of vertical modules assembled from high strength lightweight structural panels, incorporating interlocking snap-on clips for easy assembly. The front panel has a unique grid to enable planting of up to sixteen plants per module.

VGM® Green Wall modules contain a geotextile liner into which is placed a suitable planting mix. The modules are pre-planted in a nursery environment to allow proper establishment to occur before installation on site. The modules are then hang from pilasters that are bolted to the wall and an irrigation system is required at appropriate intervals, depending on wall heights.

The Elmich VGM® Green Wall system is ideal for commercial wall cladding projects providing acoustic and thermal insulation, not to mention the Vertical Garden providing aesthetic interest as well.
